Because safety always comes first, Europe’s leading independent vehicle safety organization, Euro NCAP, decided to assess which cars are the safest. The cars were tested in four categories: safety for adults, children, pedestrians and security systems. Continue reading to find out which are Europe’s five safest cars!

Volvo V40

Without any doubt, the Volvo V40 is the safest car you can afford on the European market. The Volvo V40 is a small family car that was introduced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The Volvo V40 performed well in all categories, even in the pedestrian protection category.

BMW 5 Series

This series of cars has been produced since 2009, but due to certain tests, the car was introduced on the market a year later. These models have a high levels of security, which surpassed many other cars produced in the last three years. The BMW (car symbols) 5 Series are equipped with standard equipment and perform excellent in all five categories. The high levels of protection have been recognized by the Euro NCAP and they have stated that the BMW 5 Series is one of the safest cars in Europe.


Opel Mokka

Perhaps the Opel Mokka would not be the first choice when looking for the perfect car, but if you want a safe car – then this is the ideal family car. The Opel Mokka is a subcompact crossover SUV, engineered and manufactured by the German automaker Opel since 2012. Although this vehicle showed lower results than the previous two cars, it is one of the safest cars in the European market.

Ford Kuga

The Ford Kuga is a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by Ford since 2007. The Ford Kuga incorporates a range of innovative safety and driver assistance technologies, and proved to be a very safe car. What is best in this car model, is the wide variety of security systems and the large number of airbags.

BMW 3 Series

The BMW 3 Series is a compact executive car manufactured by the famous German automaker BMW since May 1975. The BMW 3 Series proved to be very safe car, with 95% safety in adults, which means that if there is a crash, the passengers will be well protected. The BMW 3 Series has also won numerous awards throughout its history.
